2. Protect existing habitat, incl. ending extensive land clearing and habitat fragmentation, reduce overgrazing, and manage fire regimes.

3. Support restoration of Aboriginal fire management.
4. Control introduced predators, such as feral cats and red foxes, which can sometimes take advantage of burnt areas to hunt wildlife when fire destroys their shelter.

5. Translocate wildlife from severely burnt areas to more suitable habitat or captive populations.
6. Reintroduce animals to areas when/if their habitat recovers, to boost wild populations.

7. Provide artificial shelters in burnt areas to provide wildlife with cover from predators while habitats recovers.
