A lot of people have told me that I'm a great dad, which I'm not denying because I'm pretty awesome. But my wife has been in the hospital with our daughter every single day for the last 33 days. She's there in the room, sleeping on a convertible couch.

She's eating frozen meals and GrubHub every day, dealing with the mood swings and the pain swings, not having the outlet of being able to talk with friends or grab a drink and just chill. You want to talk about a great parent, it's her.

That's who Addison takes after more than me, and thank goodness for that. Although I will say my daughter is a smartass who loves to write, so that's me. Her kind heart and selflessness is all from her mother.
