some points why i think tanjirou won't d-word yet:

-nezuko's demon art
-kokushibo stated there are others bound to resist demon blood
-the 13th technique has yet to be performed
-giving the mc an anti-climatic death without the boss fight at its peak wouldn't be shounen-like

1) apart from him being out of commission from akaza's fight for a while, he only sustained one injury from muzan (with him receiving demon blood via muzan stabbing his eye) since the matter of tanjirou dying was due to his blood coagulating with muzan's demon blood via a fatal-

wound, there might be a possibility of it getting healed because we have nezuko, whose demon art could heal any sustained injuries that has poison involved, so if we were to have her around tanjirou's side to heal him fast enough, that might be a good thing though the cons for-

that plot development is that the point of stalling muzan is due to (a) kill him off at sunrise, and (b) not let him have nezuko. so if we were to introduce nezuko in that dire situation with muzan going all out, i believe nezuko would be prone to muzan's wrath unless if she-

develops a certain resistance or power-up that allows her to be of equal footing as that of muzan...that would be an interesting boss fight. if ever tanjirou turns into a demon, he might manage bloodlust better than her, considering his kind-hearted nature but we'll never know-

what tanjirou might be capable of doing once he gets turned...he could go berserk too. being turned into a demon can make some lose their sense of humanity from the start such as their consciousness and past memories when they were human...so tanjirou going off might be possible.

2.) somewhere in the fight between um1 and our four boys, um1 stated some people are resistant to muzan's blood and it requires a lotto convert a breath user. you can seen the panel that he's incompatible to muzan's blood...and that his body is strongly reacting against it.

3.) tanjirou barely touched muzan aside from that desperate sword thrust to his head from the previous chapter. we, readers, have still no idea on what the 13th form of hinokami kagura is about. all we know is that senjurou sent him a record from the archives regarding a talk-

with yoriichi and one of his ancestors about the 13th form and that was that. there are still other techniques that hadn't been revealed and i think it needs more room covered for that.

4.) knowing that this is a shounen manga, there's bound to be a near-death experience for every mc. though not as lethal as this one, tanjirou have undergone such near death episodes and has been mostly saved by a distant memory from his childhood or something. it would be anti-

climatic to kill of a mc without him being heavily involved in the presumed final fight with muzan. killing off the mcs at this peak would only break the manga, unless something integral happens after tanjirou were to d-word on the spot.

if they were to kill tanjirou, the best timing for it would be after they land the final blow on muzan or after they finish the last fight. pulling it off abruptly wouldn't be that show-stopping like that of the pillar's current death toll ig
