“Markets should serve society!” = “individuals must subordinate their lives to the service of the state.”

It is as simple as that.

“People’s decisions about what clothes to buy, what music to listen to, what cars to drive, what pets to adopt should serve society!”

See, cause you aren’t a free individual in charge of your own life, you’re a tool to be used by society—or, rather, by govt officials who purport to speak for society.

& THEY shd be in charge of economic transactions & personal choices, not you.

Why? Bc they’re better, obv.
