Am I the only one who didn't know Pitch@Palace was a private venture that allowed #PrinceAndrew to make money? Has it not always been described as his "pet charitable project" @RoyalSpectator ?

I feel Andrew's people have even tried to compare it to the Prince's Trust. (Please)
So the Queen allowed her son to make money doing this? And these were official royal engagements?

"The company hosts events at Buckingham Palace and St James’s Palace, and even uses soldiers from the Household regiment as part of the theatrical staging of Pitch@Palace events."
"Unlike the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme or The Prince’s Trust youth charity, set up by the Prince of Wales, Pitch@Palace Global Ltd is a commercial enterprise."
@RoyalSpectator

"In February 2017, it was incorporated at Companies House, its then sole director listed as Ms Thirsk, the Duke’s private secretary. The only person listed as having significant control is “HRH The Duke of York”.
Now a source "close to the Duke" claims that clause has never been exercised and any money made "from sponsors" is put right back into the project.

Does Andrew get a salary through that though?
