Quick run down of my top five franchise wishlist/wants for next year and moving forward. Won't happen all in one year but these are the things that I want to see make their way into franchise mode ASAP.
1. Full Coaching Staffs
Emphasis on FULL. HC, OC/DC and Position Coaches. HC and OC/DC would be focused on shaping the identity of a team in terms of play-calling, play style and roster building (scheme). Position coaches would focus more around influencing player development.

This not only adds a new and interesting task to a rather stagnant offseason, but it also creates an additional layer to roster building. Would also (ideally) pave a path for teams to feel different over the course of multiple seasons, something franchise struggles mightily with.
Moving forward you could also tie this into virtually every part of franchise mode, present and/or future. Preseason cuts, rookie scouting, fog of war, abilities etc. There's so much they can modify or influence that gives you more of an organization feel rather than just a team.
2. Enhanced Rookie Scouting
Hire regional scouts that have different eval abilities and biases that dictate how accurate information is. More details. More fog of war. More connection with prospects and draft class over the course of scouting and leading up to the draft.

Adds another meaningful process to the offseason (hiring scouts) as well as takes an in-season activity and makes it a far more interesting and engaging experience that connects you to prospects and makes them feel more unique rather than just a database of letter grades.
Quality of scouts also affects how you approach the draft and creates an interesting fog of war dynamic when selecting players. Do you go with maybe a lesser player from a scout you trust or take a chance on a potential diamond from a scout that's been know to hit or miss?
3. Wear and Tear Injury System
NFL seasons are wars of attrition. Players are constantly beat up, injured and rarely at 100% and this should come through in franchise. Sprains, strains, bumps, bruises should all come into play over the course of the season and a players career.

Minor injuries should come with attribute penalties that make you consider each week if a player should be playing or even practicing. Meaningful decisions that have a week in, week out impact on your team and roster that enhance the feeling of grinding through a season.
4. News & League History
Create a feeling of being in your own NFL universe rather than an isolated bubble by always making users aware of the stories from around the league instead of forcing them to search for it.

Consolidate league news into a main hub that gives the user a quick peak at information from around the league for a given week and help them become connected to the happenings of their league and not just their team.
