Once we confirmed that the operation was a for-profit venture, the question of the warehouse fire and cleanup became a serious issue. The company then replied confirming this did happen and offered refunds, much to the discontent of several in the fandom.

The question of the traced logo then became the focus, and as an artist, I detest when this happens. Artists talk, you know? The bronie fandom then weighed in to say that the company had been known by a previous name, DrawPonies, and had some run-ins at Bronycon 2019. @_Shibs_ provided what they observed happened at the conference.

I do charity work. That's my life. And this situation isn't for charity. There were lots of counterarguments given, but imo PartyPrat became the center of the controversy for her this take, not for exposing this as a for-profit operation, which it is.

That convo needs to be had, I want it to. But let's remember the original point. They're not donating to LGBTQIAA+ causes. We shouldn't cancel someone for whistleblowing.
