Trump and Republicans didn’t just accidentally start spreading Russian conspiracy theories. They’re locked in the same, mutually beneficial reality. These are post-political, white identity bodies. It’s a symbiotic relationship. They didn’t get caught in it, they exist in it.

This isn’t politics as usual. This is unlike anything we’ve seen before. One of America’s political parties has grown intertwined with a foreign adversary’s worldview and manufactured reality. We have to accept that this is beyond previous experience.
