So, my theory (based solely on my ravenous consumption of the Impeachment hearings, decades of political news and every episode of House of Cards and Veep) is that Bolton wanted a deal - complete immunity in exchange for testimony. 2/

So Bolton made his request, but it was shot down by Dem leadership. But Bolton wasn’t done. He knows he’s got a solid relationship and the respect of his GOP colleagues in the House and Senate. So he waits out the testimony.... 3/

When the testimonies are finished and depositions are done, and he knows there are no more star witnesses waiting in the wings, his GOP pals say “Yeah, maybe what Trump did wasn’t great, but it’s not grounds for Impeachment.” 4/

Democrats are like “WTF? What more do we need to show them to get them to see the facts?!?”

Enter John Bolton. Bolton once again offers his testimony in exchange for immunity. And here we are. No coincidence Bolton popped up on Twitter today after a 2 month absence. 5/

Make no mistake, this entire time, Bolton was behind the scenes, whipping up support in the House and the Senate. He knew what the GOP response would be after the House inquiry. Hell, he was planning for this back when he was sending everyone to the NSC lawyers! 6/

This does not make John Bolton a hero, so don’t think for a minute I’m putting him in the same category as Dr Hill, Lt Col Vindman or Ambassador Yovanovitch, who all came forward to speak the truth at great personal risk. Bolton is a strategist, and he played the long game. 7/

John Bolton will save us with his testimony. He’s got friends in the House and Senate who will side with him over Trump, and he’s got secrets. Bolton will fill in the blanks and link Trump directly to bribery, and he will bring the receipts to back it up. 8/
