These events started in California, where half of America’s Sikh population lives, and has expanded to cities as far away as San Antonio, Detroit, and Philadelphia!
The San Jose Sharks have held Sikh Heritage night since 2017. Performers demonstrated traditional martial arts and showed fans how to wrap their head in a traditional turban.
Since then, similar culture-sharing events have been held in NBA, NFL, NHL arenas.
