Grace Millane was at school with me and I have been astounded at the attempted character assassination of her throughout this trial. The defence attempted to slut-shame her, or imply she was ‘asking’ to be choked to death. It’s a relief to see justice has prevailed #gracemillane

‘Died during rough sex’ is victim-blaming. Enjoying sex didn’t kill Grace Millane. A man killed Grace Millane. Grace didn’t consent to dying. We need to stop blaming women and girls for their own murders #GraceMillane

My thoughts are with Grace’s family; her mum and dad, her two brothers and her countless friends. I hope they can finally grieve in peace knowing that justice has been served. I’m sorry for all the pain you’ve endured. #GraceMillane
