I feel like the whole Manchester United fan base just doesn't understand academy football, how it works and the reason for it.

Mini thread lemme see how much I can waffle for:

Firstly do people understand who/what Manchester United and Premier League football is? Dunno if I've got my figures but it's the top 1% of the football profession in the entire world. To reach the first team of this is a truly incredible achievement that not everyone can/will do

Lemme use Roshuan Williams as an example, United fans were excited about him that's normal there's no reason to not be excited when an academy player is training with the first team and looking good at academy level......

I just know you all were shocked and feel like "he fell off" because he's gone to League 1 Shrewsbury Town. Lol just know thats honestly a very good achievement and he should be very happy. Players like De Ligt etc are the top 5% in their profession not everyone will that level.
