I call them to ask why SLA is being ignored forget honored.
"Huh? What?"
They couldn& #39;t fix. So, I did. It took 15 mins. And I didn& #39;t know the product nor did I have to research how to fix.
Client had new MSP by the end of that wk.

Printer copier vendors: Again inconsistent deliverables, vulnerable configs which clash with client compliance reqs and more outdated firmware they don& #39;t know how to update/just flat out don& #39;t.
Several yrs ago hacker printed to raw port 9100. Client unsure what& #39;s going on. 3/

I knew from sight. Client tells me MSP "baffled"
I call them. Explain what& #39;s happening.
They laughed.
I wasn& #39;t laughing.
Fixed issue.
They were fired same day.
Outsourced a small pentest to my friend to find out what else comprised bc I was insanely busy.

Yes, you do. Except when I inquire why over a 18 month period the color colors went from 300 a month to 60000 and you aren& #39;t aware this is going on.
This really happened.
Times that by .06 which is the going rate over max 1500 a month grace.

By "you" I mean them.
No one reviewed the bills. Client upset they& #39;re spending so much money. I do investigation by watching ppl go to printer and ask why they& #39;re printing so much.
In 2017.
Turns out users not educated.

They would print PDFs from their email go to the printer scan them back into their email and forward those emails to other people even though the original document was an email they didn& #39;t know that they could just fwd the original because nobody ever told them.

Cost to client over 18 months?

I was furious. As were they.
They didn& #39;t make it to end of day. Fired the second I got done speaking with CEO.
Then there was the time I found a merchant card MSP who had billed client 9k over 5yrs.

For a credit card machine that was never plugged in nor used.
Lawyers got called in for that.
I found it on bills as a weird charge. Accountant was fired that day.
Full reimbursement after lawyers got off phone.
Most are somnambulant and ineffective.
