I get annoyed when people say they’re tired of slave movies because enslavement is centuries of our history. The LONGEST part of our history in this country so far.

We get a movie on World War 2 every single year.

We’ve still YET to explore the Black folklore, spiritual, and cultural traditions birthed during slavery.

NOW if you said you’re tired of us not controlling the narrative around slavery, I’d completely understand.
