OK, #VintageMagTweets tonight are about how we ladies are just naturally feeble in our innate womanliness, and can never cross the confines of our small, soft ladybrains.
(I do know the etymology of that word re Ancient Greeks and wandering wombs etc. But haven't we gone beyond that?)
We just love it when male colleagues come out with uninvited comments about our bodies and what they'd like to do to them. Really.
If only she'd been born a man she'd have been able to behave as she liked.
I'll finish for now (there are tons more of these) with this wagging finger from the Sun about how girls and boys have to behave differently at home and you're a dunce if you disagree.
Adding to the #VintageMagThread about ladybrains now, and about how women are just naturally in pursuit of sexual harassment, low-paid jobs, screaming tantrums etc. We can't help ourselves. It's the way were built.
The BMA - yes, the BMA - telling girls their primary quality needs to be beauty, and boys that they need strength and courage.
That's about 1980.
Women's libbers: responsible for Sin and Family Breakdown.
(Sorry, this should have been in the previous #VintageMagTweets thread)
(Sorry, this should have been in the previous #VintageMagTweets thread)
But, you know, this is what happens when women try to subvert the natural order and use their ladybrains in the wrong way.
I'll continue with this thread midweek.
More on the #VintageMagTweets thread about ladies' feeble natures, and how we're all born to be fluffy and daft. Most of these clippings come from the very early 80s.
Clearly this is wrong, because it doesn't have the opportunity for close inspection of riparian habitat (which is what this woman wants).
Or rats.
Yes, what can it be? After all, every male driver is exemplary and it's only females who have accidents.
(I bet we know how to use a semi colon properly, though.)
And this is a publication by the British Medical Journal! Yeah, aren't we women all mere blobs of liquid, waiting for an appropriate vessel before we can take our shape?
Squelch.
A *proper* women is entirely credulous and obedient.
OK, more on Sunday.
But one of the many reasons I tweet this stuff is because women have been told since forever that their very sex makes them unfit for all kinds of activities and employment. That, being born female, they're inferior. They can be barred and mistreated with impunity.
Now, suddenly, I'm hearing people blithely saying, 'we don't even know what a man or a woman is anymore'. Oh, really? You knew it when you were busy banning us from all kinds of places and jobs, or when you were paying us less, or when you were inflicting violence on us.
When you were telling us we had no right to bodily autonomy or to fair taxation or to our children post-divorce.
So excuse me if I'm cynical about how, all of a sudden, the distinction between the sexes has apparently become 'indistinguishable'.
Here is the end of the #VintageMagThread about the innate nature of women and how we're just born feeble and can't help it.
(And that's a medical FACT.)
That's the end of this thread. x
