This is a thread about #NRC which is aimed at creating chaos within Muslims in India, NRC is designed to divert the attention of Muslims from their core issues concerning their future to fear of getting deported or detained

to understand NRC, we need to take a look at past politics and how this NRC came into existence

in this thread, we will take a look at what is Assam NRC and how it is going to be different from NRC in other parts of India #MuslimsUnite
when #NRC was implemented in Assam, Hindutva was first to oppose this move.

they told, by means of NRC, the government is trying to give citizenship to Bangladeshi immigrants

Muslims were called Bangladeshi and they ran politics on this for 30 long years
India Home Minister told parliament that more than 1 crore illegal Bangladeshi migrants are present in Assam

Assam governor in 2003 told More than 50 lakh illegal Bangladeshis are living in Assam

but in final NRC list, only 19 lakhs names were excluded most of them non-Muslim
of 19 lakh excluded names, only around 4 lakh of them are Muslims

why did NRC land only in Assam and not in other parts of India?

if it is implemented in the whole of India, under what circumstances will this be implemented?
Assam NRC was not implemented by any government.

in 2013, the Supreme Court of India took a decision and formed a committee for NRC and whole process was closely monitored by SC itself

when this decision was taken Muslims were first to welcome it
India became independent and was partitioned in 1947 and our constitution came into existence on 26th January 1950 under which article 3 explained who is the citizen of India

it clearly states that anyone who was present in India on 26th January 1950 is an Indian citizen
the first census of Independent India took place in 1951 in which the Indian government took a decision to create National Register of Citizens (NRC) to know who are Indians and not Indians

NRC was not implemented in India but was implemented only in Assam. why?
Assam has a history. when the British captured Assam in 1846, they bought people from Bengal province (present-day West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa etc) and made them settle there to run tea estates

this created chaos among traditional Assamese people and their culture
after 1941 census, British officer stated that there are more than 30 lakh Bengalis present in Assam, he also stated that if present conditions continued traditional Assamese would become minority and Bengalis will become the majority in Assam
Historically, 30-35% of total Assam population comprised of Muslims

in fact, there were so many Muslims in Assam that during partition, Muslim League demanded Assam be made part of East Pakistan

due to political pressure, Assam remained in India
after 1951, Assam govt. demanded the end to people migrating into Assam

they demanded that an NRC be created and put a full stop for further immigration of Bangladeshis into Assam

this is the reason NRC was implemented in only Assam and not in any part of India
in 1971 East Pakistan became Bangladesh meanwhile, from 1951 to 1971 non-Muslim Bangladeshis kept on migrating to Assam because they were not happy with the Pakistani government

when India became Independent, Bangladesh had a non-Muslim population of 30%, now it has 9%
where did all these people go?

all those non-Muslim people kept on disappearing in Bangladesh and started appearing in Assam because Assam is a part of India and India is a secular state

they didn't like the Muslim government in Bangladesh
Moreover, if Muslims had to come into India there should be two reasons

1) they are being oppressed in their own home state, which is unlikely to happen given that Bangladesh is a Muslim country
2) Jobs or economical condition but, B'desh has an economy better than India
Historically, B'desh always had better economic conditions than Assam and to this day it is same

given all these conditions Muslims will never like to choose Assam over B'desh

all this drama of Bangladeshi Muslims in Assam was only a political stunt to win votes
on 25th March 1971, Pakistan conducted a searchlight operation on East Pakistan (now Bangladesh)

Targets were those fighting for autonomous Bangladesh and others whom the Pakistani government didn't like

this forced 60 lakh Bangladeshis to enter West Bengal seeking refuge
after Bangladesh got its independence by India's help, all 60 lakh refugees returned back to their places

in 1973 when a fresh voter list was up in Assam, 15 lakh new names were included compared to the previous 1966 voter list.

Assamese people rejected this voter list
the government rejected Assam's claim, elections were conducted and congress came into power
the
in 1979 same demand was kept, the govt. didn't agree and Violent agitation began in Assam which continued for 5 years
on 17th November 1983, an incident took place in Nallie village where 2700 Muslims were Killed in 3 days.

victims were branded Bangladeshi Immigrants.
Ulfa, a terrorist organization started targetting both Muslim and Hindu Bengalis in the name of Illegal Immigrants
to stop this violence, govt. reached an agreement with All Assam Student Unit which is called the Assam Accord.

govt promised to identify illegals and promised to give citizenship to anyone who can prove he was present in India before 24 march 1971. a day before searchlight op
further the govt. promised to not give those individuals voting rights for 10 years and if anyone can prove that he/she was in India before 1 Jan 1966, they will be given citizenship and full voting rights
govt. bought amendment to citizenship act in 1987 in which section says, any individual born in b/w 26 Jan 1950 and 30 June 1987, irrespective of who their parents are is an Indian

Again Amendment was done in 2004 where it stated anyone born in India b/w 1 Jul 1987 & 1 Jan 2004
is also an Indian citizen given that any one of the parents is Indian National.

people born after this period are also Indians given, both the parents are Indians and if one parent is foreigner, he/she should not be an illegal immigrant
in 1987 amendment, a special provision was incorporated which is section 6A, this is according to Assam Accord

so, this citizenship Act can only be implemented in Assam because there was a agreement in Assam and this cannot be enforced in any other part of India
This continued till 2003, no one tried to implement this anywhere in India and even Assam Government didn't pay heed to enforce special NRC given to them because they knew it is nothing but a political stunt
in 2013, NRC was implemented in Assam, a list of 15 documents was given of which if any one of the document is correct then that particular Individual would be awarded Citizenship of Assam and Citizenship of India
Even if any Individual had any civil or criminal case on him before 24 march 1971 in India, he/she can produce court proceeding papers to prove his citizenship

List B documents were for people who took birth after 1971, if they prove their parents were in India they are Indians
No part of India has witnessed such conditions

it's a matter of thinking that how can a Govt., which implemented this in such a liberal manner in a place like Assam implement strict NRC all over India

it is being amplified again and again only to create fear among Muslims
They are trying to divert Muslims from Main issues like Mob lynchings, Kashmir and Ayodhya

They are creating chaos in the Muslim community so that Muslims don't raise their voices against the government's atrocities against them
Even if NRC is implemented all over India it will be very easy for us to prove we are Indians which, we are genuinely

when it comes to Citizenship Amendment Bill which is bought up by Amit Shah in Parliament recently, it violates the constitution of India
Even if it is passed in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, it will be most probably taken down by courts because it goes against the constitution

there are so many people ready to challenge this in courts

there is no need to fear. keep focusing on core Muslim issues
Don't silence your voice against Mob lynchings, Kashmir and Ayodhya

do it in a legal way but never keep silence because it is our right to not keep silence

this thread will be updated with the latest developments regarding NRC.

Peace and Love to all ✌️
