“Hi! I’m very happy you felt comfortable reaching out to me but I’m really sorry that I can’t help right away. I’m in a place myself, and trying to help you in my current mental space would be more harmful than helpful.

Is there anyone else I can help you talk to?”
“Hey friend! I’m really glad you messaged me and even more glad you’re seeking help.

But I’m actually helping another person who’s in a similar place, and if I tried to help you both I think I’d just make things worse. Is there anyone else you’re ok talking to about this?”
If you have the spoons/energy to do so add at the end

“If there’s no one else you’re able to see or talk too come back to me and we can figure something out because I do really want to be here for you.”
