In 2000 I was resisting using Ppt for presentations as all its use around me was so very ugly. Then I went to a Kraftwerk concert, saw their projected graphics & immediately knew what to do.

Typography is beautiful

Crop your images & make them 'bleed' off the slide. Oh and use W I D E (16:9) ratio — the ratio of modern screens. They have cinema feel to them.
