Question for my scientist colleagues: did you ever thought about the energy footprint of your experiments?
in ceramics processing it& #39;s quite high. We need for example to sinter ceramics in furnaces that can be quite large and at temperatures sometimes up to 2000°C. That amounts to quite a few kW.h
and I don& #39;t mention the fusion of ceramics. that& #39;s enormous.
