Hop is definitely my favourite rival, down to the way he chooses to throw his pokeball.

The first couple times you fight Hop, he has his own unique way of throwing his pokeball (credit to BlazzerSora on YT)
Later on when he loses to Bede and becomes a lot more insecure about himself, he starts to imitate Leon in order to win, down to the way Leon slaps his face, throws his ball, and stands. (Credit to Mixeli on YT)

Finally, in his final battle, he realises his own path and goes back to his own way of doing things (Thanks again Mixeli)
There’s a lot more to say but it’s little things like this that make me appreciate Hop a lot more
One last thing, I love how he starts switching around his team in order to find something new that works but just cant. Hes always looking for new stronger Pokémon possibly because then realises its an issue with himself and not the mons. Neat little touch
