Really disappointed to see this as a title of a lecture today. Not only do I disagree with many of the slides that followed I certainly do not agree with a lecture of this type. The implications of this are massive.

The focus of resilience in nursing needs to move from the nurses on to organisational structural. Nurses are naturally resilient. While I agree there are things we can do to help ourselves we do not need to be constantly told to be resilient or work on being more resilient

We certainly don’t need ‘tips’ that we most definitely cannot apply while working as a nurse in today’s environments and culture.

It is not nurses who need this lecture, it is dept heads & key hospital management.

Right now I cannot put into words anything about today’s lecture, my eyes are full of tears and anger is flowing. Which wouldn’t make tweeting any further any use. But for now please stop with the resilience bulls!t.

The intention of the lecture was good. No harm was meant by the college or speaker. However the delivery and some content was poor starting with the title.
