Why is this important? Because a leader has determinate responsibilities (ie. being the main spokesperson/direct an interview etc) in the general public mind and if they see who they think is the leader is lacking in those, it could mean a bad reputation/reaction.
Also, it gives extra responsibilities to a member that isn't the leader and, maybe, don't want to be one! It can give them anxiety or the feeling that they NEED to take that role etc. So please respect their desire and spread this awareness.
Probably the first interview that they explicitly talk about their lack of a leader and why. And also how/why Oneus works leaderless.

You can also see this in the fact that, while presenting each member, no one uses that title and Ravn, often wrongly indicate as a leader, calls himself only the eldest.

Hwanwoong is the one that does the greeting he must be the leader! Nope, while it's true that HW often guides the greeting, it's not always him. The reason might be that HW is often their choreograph so the rest of the members are used to him being first to move/guide.

Even predebut they were quite sure about not having a leader: in this instance, while with their brother group Onewe (who instead has a leader, Yonghoon), they asked that the ones to choose should be the eldest ones, not the leaders.
