Our Annual General Meeting is taking place this afternoon. We're looking forward to taking time to reflect on the highlights of 2018/19, in which we published 40 national reports as part of the national clinical audit and patient outcomes programme (NCAPOP) #HQIPAGM19
Our chair, Dame Professor Donna Kinnair, opens the meeting with a heartfelt thanks to @hqip staff and members of the service user network (SUN)
Last year, we achieved our target of expanding the participating audits on our online benchmarking portal NCAB, which presents complex audit data in a focused set of metrics: by March 2019 we had 20 participating audits, up from 7 in March 18. https://ncab.hqip.org.uk/  #HQIPAGM19
We implemented a process to ensure patient and public involvement (PPI) input was consistently sought during our commissioning process for the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcome Programme (NCAPOP). This is a spotlight feature in our annual report. #HQIPAGM19
In the course of the year, we processed 90 data access requests #HQIPAGM19
We awarded the inaugural Richard Driscoll Memorial Award which celebrates excellence in patient and public involvement in national clinical audit. The first ever winners were @Epilepsy_12. Our annual report includes a spotlight feature on them. #HQIPAGM19
Treasurer Sarah Dunnett pays tribute to Trustee Robert Johnstone who retires from his HQIP role after 6 years: "an invaluable member of the board and an eloquent speaker on behalf of service users". #HQIPAGM19
Sarah also welcomes our two new trustees Miles Sibley and Susan Masters and confirms the re-appointment of trustees Phil Baker and Sheila Marriott. #HQIPAGM19

HQIP's @HealthFdn fellow Ian Woolhouse delivers a presentation on understanding different data flows and impact on quality improvement #HQIPAGM19
We're now hearing from @Patient_Data's @natalie_banner on the context for patients in relation to providing data in the digital world with increasing interest in how individual data is used; "the best systems in the world are not immune from concerns about how data is being used"
"Audit sits between care and research. It is well placed to explain how data is used and how it improves services." - @natalie_banner. #HQIPAGM19
