George Kent said that Amb. Pyatt made a speech in Sept. 2015 and that it was clear the U.S. was "pushing for Shokin's ouster."

Amb. Pyatt did call for the firing of officials involved in the closing of the case against Zlochevsky in late December 2014.

But Shokin was not one of the officials involved. His term began in February 2015.

Notably, in earlier testimony, Kent showed that he was aware that the Zlochevsky case was closed before Shokin took office, which makes the following statement by Kent even odder in light of what Pyatt said in the speech.

May just be a memory lapse since this was years ago.
