First of all, the headline. I don’t know what kind of people they hire over at @survivorcbs but I feel like it should be knowledge that inappropriate touching is at best sexual harassment. At worst, sexual assault. There’s really no gray area there. It’s just wrong. #survivor39
Okay, so my issue with how @survivorcbs and @JeffProbst handled this whole thing is that they treated this like part of the game. Their “normal protocol” failed. And I’m not going to go into the rabbit hole of why asking Kellee what she wanted to do was wrong...
But placing all the responsibility on a single contestant who has voiced concerns is reckless and irresponsible. It sounds like it was presented to her as part of the game and not addressed as an issue. Again, there should be a zero tolerance policy. It’s on camera. THEY WATCHED.
Again, by making the sexual harassment part of the game and gameplay, everyone on the Survivor production staff severely mishandled this.

Also, we need to kill the phrase “made her feel uncomfortable.” Jeff, he fucking touched her. This isn’t about feelings. #Survivor39
Also I don’t like the idea that their policy is to talk to the guy and give him a warning???? And then give this guy massive amounts of airtime to air out a non apology about what he did. #Survivor39
This response is just wow @JeffProbst. So there’s no denying that he touched someone and it’s on camera and the production staff, including you, sat around and made sexual harassment part of the game. #Survivor39
I also never want to see the phrase “it put dan in an unfair light.” What Elizabeth and Missy did is a direct result of your production’s inadequacy in response to the situation and what happened to Kellee. #Survivor39
It’s really not that complicated @JeffProbst. Someone sexually harassed a contestant on the show. You filmed it. You watched. You sat around and mishandled it. You handled it in a way that will let it happen again. You hurt the ACTUAL survivors who watch your show. #Survivor39
Again, making this incident part of gameplay. Tribal council is not a court and you are not a judge, @JeffProbst. You and everyone on this show has an over inflated sense of how this show is a conversation started and you tried to exploit this situation for juicy TV. #Survivor39
And then your social media team @survivorcbs stayed silent last night and you further turned your back on real survivors of sexual harassment, assault and abuse.

Survivors are more important than ratings.

Dan should have been removed day 1. Period. #Survivor39
