No 84. A hundred years ago, when the internet was still coal-fired, I took part in an online artwork by @birdmail. Back then, email was the way we had conversations. They opened my eyes to new ways of working, and helped me fall in love with Coventry. Great people!
No 85. How lovely is this? Morris Commercial’s first production model since the 1960s has a 200-mile range, a 1000kg payload. Will be built in UK. And it's electric.

No 86. Recently found a bunch of middle school reports that said I loved science and was good at it. Somehow, high school left me thinking I wasn't.

I love the @SoapboxScience movement, taking science demonstrations to the UK's pavements.
No 87. @PallantGallery education department started working with artists facing significant barriers to the art world due to health, disability, social circumstance or isolation - which lead to creation of @outsidein_uk. Two great organisations!
No 88. I inherited this from my grandad. It has been a constant inspiration and a reminder that... well, worse things happen at sea.

"Try again, fail again, fail better" is a method I suspect all things on this list would say works.

No 89. After the earthquake in Christchurch, @GapFillerChch start to reimagine the city by filling empty spaces with playful things. All made with trust in people and generosity of spirit.
No 90. Have any of you read this far? I'll keep going in case.

Sometimes, waiting for the big regeneration projects means things will be lost.

@LSGMargate was anchor for regeneration of a single street, where a couple saved buildings one-by-one. Incredible story.
No 91. The @1nvisibleCircus circus story is so good, somebody should make a film about it. What's that? Oh right...

I love their work and dream of one day running away with them.

No 92. For the few of us that remember the bit for Britpop, These Animal Men and S*M*A*S*H are two of the greatest bands ever.

Flawed Is Beautiful is a real labour of love, homemade and crowdfunded - and it brought them back together for gigs.
No 93. The various travelling communities have always been part of British life. They've enriched our language and culture. Damian Lebas (from my hometown Worthing) has become a gentle champion for their lifestyle.

No 94. As spaces for the community go, a lightship is pretty special. As they were built to last, and built without engines, they make great venues. Visit @LightVessel21 in Gravesend to see one.
No 95. One of our greatest writers, a brilliant broadcaster, and a kind and gentle man.

Follow @lemnsissay - or turn on Radio 4, he'll be along shortly!
No 96. Another song, both joyous but with a lyric that is a reminder to aim higher, go further.
No 97. Bjork explains how a television works.

"You shouldn't let poets lie to you."
No 98. I love shops that have been there for years. Arnison's in Penrith, where I was shown 'the new part' (built c.1910).

In Margate, we have gallery and art materials shop @LovelysGallery.

What's the oldest shop where you live?
No 99. Founded by Russian emigres, this place is both venue and school, teaching classical music to people who wouldn't normally have the opportunity. It's given Bognor Regis a classical music culture, and if you visit you'll get a great welcome.

No 100*. My Margate studio. @marinestudios is 10 years old this month. Often overlooked, because it's not the coolest kid in the class. Founded by Rick and Kate from design co @HKD_UK.

*101, none of you spotted the duplicate.
So - 101 reasons to be cheerful.

Not a comprehensive list, as it was written on the fly between work things this week. But I hope it warms your heart, lifts your spirits.
