People who see please offer me a seat/disability badges and ignore them... know that we see you and it’s not ok (aka everyone on public transport this morning) #pwme #fibromyalgia #mecfs #hiddendisability
I don’t like to ask for priority seats because the person in that seat might have a hidden disability too and I don’t want to put them in an awkward position. I got new badges so people can see I’m disabled and don’t challenge me. I’ve probably only been offered a seat twice 😞
It might seem like a small thing but not having to stand on my journey will mean less pain, less fatigue, coping better at work, possibly having the energy to do something nice for myself that day as well. I live with constant pain, exhaustion, dizziness and balance issues
It’s such a difficult thing because I know I look fine so I’m probably easy to ignore, but I use bold lip colours, earrings and outfits as armour to make me feel stronger when my body feels weak. Hidden disabilities are real. Please look out for badges and take them seriously 💕
