It seems every round there's more people needing their spirits lifted & more hanging up their lab coats. Thinking of all those with bad news today (made worse by the fact they can't talk about it).

It also makes the few successful folk not feel like celebrating. Please do. And share your successes (when you can talk about it). We need those stories so there's hope that innovation and research is still a thing in Australia.

It's also worth reiterating you can't have translation without basic science. Cures need knowledge to become cures. Discoveries need dollars.
