1) I legitimately don’t understand the Bob Stoops/FSU saga. He “retired” early because stress and just being content and ready before health became a problem like his father. If he was ready to leave OU I’m not sure why he’d go anywhere not OU when Lincoln goes to Dallas or

USC (just not realistic) or a historic national brand and program like Ohio state (not needing a coach), Michigan, or even Tennessee (never got the “blue blood” reference and appeal.) HOWEVER, I intend to and will take my victory lap if he does go back into college coaching cuz

It only solidifies that he was actually told to “retire” due to the lack of control he had over players and the types of character he was recruiting (Mixon, Baker (although not recruited because nobody wanted him and he sucks outside of Lincoln sys), Cobb, Brooks, Sutherland...)

Extremely similar to Urban minus the level of success difference. Both ran top programs w/ bad character players, ran away or got pushed out before it caught up to them, then land in decent places afterward. Urban may just do it another time with USC and he is dirtier than Bob.

Bob is much easier to like and despite the issues I believe to be a good guy who let it get away from him. Urban is just a douche.
