HK students don't want to leave their city, but look into offering up spots or scholarships to HK students who will need to leave.

If you are on a search committee and an academic based in HK is applying, give their application extra consideration.

Invite HK-based academics to give talks. Our CVs are suffering these days, and it will give respite.

Hold HK teach-ins - invite colleagues based in HK via Skype.

If you are on the committee of a residential fellowship - give serious consideration to HK based scholars.

If you have students returning from study abroad in HK, support them; they have PTSD.

If you have students or colleagues from HK at your uni support them, even to just ask them how they are doing. They are feeling stressed and guilty as they watch things unfold from afar.
