It occurred to me that people don’t know this, so I just want to remind people even if you don’t “feel” stressed or traumatized it doesn’t mean you aren’t.

Have digestion issues?
Migraines?
Back (or other) pain(s) you can’t explain?

These can all be symptoms of trauma.
Your body will tell you you’re stressed/traumatized even if you refuse to acknowledge it.

She’ll say, “ok bitch, you wanna shove this shit down and ignore it? Imma put the weight in your hips then. Unexplainable hip pain for you.”
This is why some therapists ask clients about unexplainable somatic symptoms and/or where you feel things in your body.
Or if you’re in your body at all.

Do you feel your feet on the ground?
Can you feel your thighs in the chair?
Are you aware of your breathing?
Can you feel your pants against your knees?

Are you in your body 👀
