One of my students have me a hug at the end of class today

I had read my poem "Un-tombed" with Philip Larkin& #39;s "An Arundel Tomb," which it riffs off of, and she said it was really moving
I am usually shy about sharing my work with my own students, but it seemed appropriate in a discussion of poems in conversation
Which started with this amazing poem by @PhilipMetres paired with "We Do What We Have To Do" by Yehuda Amichai https://poets.org/poem/my-heart-nation">https://poets.org/poem/my-h...
...and then @marwahelal in conversation with @PhilipMetres from his Sand Opera Lenten project in 2016 http://behindthelinespoetry.blogspot.com/2016/02/sand-opera-lenten-journey-day-13-blues.html">https://behindthelinespoetry.blogspot.com/2016/02/s...
And then with all the "oo" sounds in "multiplication of the blues" by @marwahelal I had to show them Plath& #39;s "Daddy" and play the recording of her reading it
So anyway if you wanna read the poem that inspired the hug here it is. Thanks to @DavidYezzi for publishing it in @Hopkins_Review
