Its also a disservice to those not cited. For example, many may not realize that Super-enhancers (locus control regions) were actually discovered over 30 years ago, and painstakingly analysed over decades by hundreds of researchers using transgenes, knockouts and knockins.
"New wordizing" is perhaps too mild a term for what is sometimes actually "cheap re-branding" to claim novelty. In science, we all stand on the shoulders of others who went before us, and we should ackowledge that whenever possible.
