Here is a little anecdote I heard from my Nana's best friend. His father Brig Bagh Singh was a Bangladesh war hero. Brig Bagh discovered Chushul airstrip on a random morning stroll. He understood the strategic location vis a vis China, so he requested his seniors for an airstrip.

The seniors whimpered because Nehru was in Hindi-Chini bhai bhai mode, and in no mood to brook any idea which would antagonise the Chinese. The seniors surrendered and asked Brig Bagh to take it up with Nehru on his own accord. Brig Bagh being a Bagh, reached Delhi.

He requested the PMO for an audience. Took him more attempts than we can remember anymore. When King Nehru walked in, Brig Bagh narrated all his reports. Unsurprisingly Nehru went mad with anger, his face turned red and Brig Bagh was subjected to some lovely language.
