Corbynistas are upset I’m disgusted at Dear Leader’s tone & softness here. Baghdadi was no prisoner. He was in a suicide vest. ISIS scum in suicide vests are armed combatants. Regardless, Baghdadi killed himself & 2 children. If Corbyn didn’t know this, he should have just STFU.
Obviously we must not execute prisoners. I suggest Corbyn tells his Iranian & Russian friends this.. while he runs around the UK obfuscating around Assad’s mass murder & torture of Syrian Arabs & Kurds. Perhaps also tell his Cuban, Venezuelan & Bolivian dictator friends this too
Corbyn also has the audacity here to cite as an example the trial of Milosevic for War Crimes against Muslims in Kosovo, while at the time he dismissed that attempted genocide (soon after the Bosnia one) as a “fabrication”, which was also Russia’s stance https://balkaninsight.com/2015/08/17/uk-labour-frontrunner-queried-on-kosovo-motion-08-17-2015/
So, and for Corbynistas still too tribal to get it, him saying “if we could have arrested him we should have” is entirely redundant here for many reasons, not least due to Corbyn’s own past stances. He clearly didn’t have a clue what happened here. The man is a walking redundancy

When you can’t bring yourself to meet a US President on a state visit, when you speak in softer tones about Baghdadi than your ex-party members like @ChukaUmunna who you couldn’t even tolerate being in the same room as you, and you want us to make you PM? No way.
Corbyn was either casting doubt on US’ version of events in killling the worst terrorist scumbag in our lifetime (Putin did this too, immediately after Baghdadi was killed), or he was ignorant of how Baghdadi actually died. Neither is a good look for “Leader of the Opposition”
