It’s not wise to think that any answer that doesn’t involve a spectacular occurrence excludes the involvement of God. If you prayed for healing and recovered after using pills, or for money and got a business idea or for a spouse and made a new friend you think God didn’t answer?
There is therefore the question of “why then is (in the geographic distribution of genders) there not one man to each woman?”

You think the omniscient doesn’t know in all the varied possibilities the person best suited for you, and doesn’t know how to lead you in their way. If you go on your own and pick with the physical eyes only, then that’s who you’d be sticking with but listening to God saves alot.
He knows (in your freedom to choose) who you can choose that would become a problem to purpose.

We Believers speak of Bible examples: with the first man, God brought the woman. Abraham’s servant also prayed to God and got Isaac a favorable bride because despite it being a physical agency, and you doing the choosing, God does know who will/won’t fit into His purpose for you.
Why did God not let Joseph put away Mary “privily” as he desired and give her a more understanding man?

The leading of God is always an anchor, when tests come. The knowledge that He was your guide equips you when human flaws show up.
And if you depend on Him you’d be led rightly. Don’t downplay the hand of God in the systems of men especially of those who call upon Him believing.

Some of these ideas come when we try to find a balance between a world view that excludes the will of God and scripture. We begin to find intellectual arguments but then you’re ending up with the same results the world is having, no anchor!

As long as it is not harmful to His purpose you are free to choose as you desire working by right principles in it; but even here He can specifically lead you:
“Don’t get involved in this”

You think the natural law of the body healing itself (which medical science assists) is not an ordinance of God?
You think it’s every person who was treated that got cured?
Or that the breath of God cannot inspire a knowledgeable doctor to know how best to handle your situation?

It shows how shallow some of us view God & His power in creation’s workings. We have relegated God to the topic of religion, forgetting He’s the source/sustainer of all things.
“God is in this, God is NOT in this” because we don’t know where Humanity ends and His hand continues.
