Hey writers, let's celebrate you!

What is one element of your work you have total faith in? Like you can absolutely kill a metaphor, or write pitch-perfect dialogue? #writingcommunity
We're so used to being hard on ourselves and our work that it can feel hubris-level scary to admit we might be good at something. But we work hard at this -- let's take a minute to be bold. Get cocky! Strut your stuff!
Personally, I am really proud of my writing on the sentence level, especially imagery.

Pacing? Eh. Dialogue? Depends on the day. But my sentences will take you to BREAKFAST and fucking TIP THE WAITRESS.
This is important because when your work is in the world, it will meet all kinds of readers, some of whom love it and some who don't.

When you're already hard on your work, and then someone else is, too, it can derail you in a major way.
So this thing? This is your bulletproof vest. This is the thing you have faith in even on the worst and hardest days.

In those moments when you're tempted to give up, remember: you do X really well. You do it fucking EXCELLENTLY. The world needs it. And more importantly: you do.
