Journalist and author Cokie Roberts was a long-time friend and supporter to @usnatarchives. She would have received the Records Of Achievement Award from @archivesfdn tonight. We’re going to take a moment today for #RememberingCokie to share some memories.

Cokie Roberts was our special guest at our first sleepover in 2014, to the delight of parents and kids. She shared the stage w/ author @BradMeltzer and three historic people! Cokie herself was named a “Living Legend” in 2008 by @librarycongress. #RememberingCokie

She often served as a moderator for our public programs, interviewing all kinds of guests, from historians to politicians. #RememberingCokie

Her keynote address at #ArchivesJuly4 was one of the most memorable at that annual event! She shared the podium with Abigail Adams to deliver a witty speech. We’ll always remember these ladies. #RememberingCokie

If you have visited the National Archives Museum, you have heard Cokie’s voice reading many letters in the “Dear Uncle Sam” section. And Cokie lent both her support for our #RightfullyHers exhibit and her voice to help bring the story of woman suffrage to life. #RememberingCokie
Thank you, Cokie, for all your support through the years.
