The House Impeachment Show Trial begins!

Someone named George Kent is giving us his entire family history - including what his entire family tree did in war.

5 great uncles served etc.

Meanwhile, George's valor appears to be wearing a bow tie. Always a bad sign.

What George Kent is now saying in his opening statement is that George Kent is in charge of foreign policy - NOT the President.

In other words, Trump made the mistake of disagreeing with Kent!

Kent is the ultimate symbol of the State Department: a 4th generation desk jockey.

Kent then says future witnesses Vindman & Hill are "the heirs of Kissinger."

What does that mean? It means that this little gang of Never Trumpers at the Ukraine desk are "the heirs of post-war American foreign policy."

He's saying: Trump upset us. Trump thinks he's in charge.

Witness #2 is Bill Taylor.

Taylor wants you to know that he has no idea why he's here. He's just here because Congress called.

This is called: pretending you don't know what's going on.

Bill is "the regular channel" for Ukraine.

Then he drops a name: @RudyGiuliani

It seems Bill Taylor disliked Rudy as "the irregular channel" on Ukraine.

Bill says military aid was withheld from Ukraine, which upset him.

Bill says he was "under cut" by "unofficial" policy "led by Giuliani."

How this is a crime leading to Trump's impeachment is unclear.

Bill Taylor ends by saying: Ukraine is key to the security of USA.

That's baloney.

It's good Bill cares about Ukraine. I agree: we should support them against Russia.

But should Bill appear before Congress to impeach Trump if Ukraine aid gets delayed?

That's pure baloney.

What Bill Taylor & George Kent think they're doing: impeaching Trump for his Ukraine policy.

What Taylor & Kent are actually doing: embarrassing the State Dept for 1,000 years.

If mid-level career officials can bring down POTUS over this, guess what: our republic is finished.

Kent is asked: have you heard of Crowd Strike?

He says he's never heard of it until September 2019.

Kent is our #2 on Ukraine & he doesn't read newspapers or media on the Russia hoax?

This is, of course, completely unbelievable.

Kent just torched his credibility.

Taylor is asked: why weren't you on the Ukraine call?

Taylor: We are not normally on the call.

Did you get a readout of call?

Taylor: I did. It was cryptic.

Cryptic?

Taylor: that's pretty normal.

So Taylor & Kent want to impeach Trump over a "pretty normal" call?

Suddenly Kent & Taylor have "no knowledge" of Hunter Biden & why he would serve on Burisma in Ukraine.

Taylor freezes. Deep pause. Ugh ugh ugh. He's got "no knowledge."

Guess what: State Dept officials don't have any experience getting cross-examined.
