Regarding #Leadership: I see folks confusing having any opinion with being a bad or pushy leader.

It's *critical* to have an opinion as a leader. Leadership is about getting people to move in alignment to a high quality outcome. You have to define what high quality looks like.
What makes you a good or bad leader depends on:
- if you change or update your opinion based on feedback
- if you enable teams to operate with autonomy while meeting agreed outcomes
- how you talk about those outcomes and get buy in for them
Leaders without opinions are leaders not providing direction.

A "what good looks like" opinion might be *what* we need to do ("improve this metric"), or could be *how* we need to do it ("we make decisions based on evidence").
Even those who consider themselves servant leaders need to set these boundaries for teams. They need to be able to give positive and constructively negative feedback to individuals on how they operate in service of outcomes.

All of this requires opinion.
So, leaders: having an opinion isn't a problem, don't try to hide yours! If you hide it, you are making decisions and giving feedback in a way that isn't transparent. You aren't making it clear what good looks like for you.

Key is strong opinions, loosely held.
