Advice for artists trying to get a deal/show/radio play etc:
- Label your music properly. A track with no artist name called Finalmix 44 16.wav is useless
- Better still send a streaming link (also labelled with info, especially contact / socials etc) as well as a DL link

- Do your research. If you are a indie rock band, my soul/hip hop/jazz label is unlikely to be of much help to you
- Spell names correctly, particularly of the DJ/label that you& #39;re contacting. If you want a deal with First WORLD, email them instead of me at First WORD

- Make your accompanying text brief and concise. I don& #39;t want 10 attachments with your life story to clog up my inbox. A simple paragraph will probably do it. If you& #39;re not great at writing, find someone who is and ask for their help. Skillswap if you don& #39;t have money to pay
- Give some context. If it& #39;s radio play remind the person (nicely) about other music they& #39;ve played that& #39;s in the same ballpark as yours. It& #39;ll probably make them more likely to open the mail/listen to the tracks.
- If possible get an intro from someone who knows the person you& #39;re contacting. A personal co-sign/intro is far more powerful than a blind approach.
- Be nice! There are a few people I work with now who& #39;s first efforts didn& #39;t quite work for me. But the fact that they were polite and pleasant to deal with made me open to listen to their music in the future.
Any other tips people have, please add in the replies :)
