happy #ThxBirthControl day! I am thankful for birth control for providing me more control over my body, reducing extremely painful periods, and overall protecting my reproductive health and well-being.

I got my first period in 5th grade and it was a lonely and painful experience. I suffered with heavy bleeding and extremely painful cramps that would keep me out of school because I was so nauseous and in so much pain.

I went on birth control when I was 16 and never looked back! My periods were lighter, more predictable, and much less painful. I got an IUD in April 2017 and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself! All in all, #thxbirthcontrol for improving my every day life.

and this is just to say: birth control should be free and easily accessible for anyone and everyone!
