“When performing laryngoscopy with a hyperangulated VL *don’t* place the tip of the blade in the valleculla. This elevates and tilts the larynx making tube delivery very difficult.”
“Look at the patient’s mouth, not the screen, when introducing the tube into the mouth. If you look at the screen you risk perforating the soft tissues of the posterior oropharynx.”
