I want to comment my thoughts on the whole GF/ Pokémon SwSh fiasco.
Personally speaking, I'm not very excited for the new games, and I think Game Freak has made several major mistakes with marketing.

First, if you are excited for that game that's great. I don't want to take away from people's enjoyment of things. I don't like it when people try to tell me that I shouldn't enjoy something.

I think the Internet can easily amplify those voices who are loudest, not necessary the majority. I think a lot of people fall in the middle.
Now, I want to change the subject to what I personally feel and explain my thoughts.

I think GF really messed up the games production and marketing. They've been unable to control the narrative for the marketing. They should've announced that not all Pokémon will be back much earlier, and not so casually. Definitely before Pokémon Home was announced.
Of course they are going to reuse animations and models. They would be irresponsible from a game development stand point to make the same thing twice. But they should've owned up to it, and not claim that everything was from scratch (though I'm curious about the Japanese now)
Also, they should've explained that they probably had to rush development on the title. I think they couldn't delay the game because of the anime and merchandise, even though it looks like it'd benefit from extra polish.
But as one of the biggest media franchises in the world, I'm a bit disappointed. A lot of things I've seen from SwSh don't look too promising, and there aren't a lot of new innovative features that feels like it was a good trade off for fans.
I really think GF should've made the #BringBackNationalDex into a competition and allow fans to vote for their favorite Pokémon to be added via patches. Limit the total to 50. They couldve taken control of the narrative, but they committed to no content in patches? It's baffling.
I hope the next Pokémon game is better, and I hope GF ups their games (literally). I really look forward to what they have in store in the future.
