The David Villa you saw in Barcelona was nowhere near the one from Valencia. If you haven't seen him play for Los Ches, you've seen only glimpses of what he really was (WC 2010, for example).

His numbers in Valencia, which never was a side that scored as many goals as Real or Barcelona, are impressive: 225 official games, in which he scored 129 goals & recorded 41 assists.
