Shocking comments from Tony Caher on @BBCgmu suggesting cercieve control law would lead to & #39;satellite litigation& #39; & that victims&survivors taking action to protect themselves can lead to a reduction in household income&a breakdown of the family so must be carefully considered.
Also says people are very quick to get professional help in DV. This is patently not true.
We need coercive control law. We need funded support services. We need a complete culture change so that @BBCgmu doesn& #39;t have & #39;balance& #39;on this topic. #bbcgmu https://www.womensaidni.org/resources/coercive-control-need-change-law/">https://www.womensaidni.org/resources...

The idea that people make frivilous reports in E&W is horrendous. Well done to Lenore Rice @WilsonNesbitt for highlighting that often when people seek help they have already been through years of harrassment, which could be dealt with if we had coercive control law.
