I referred a testing lab to the ICO. An utter waste of time. The ICO appeared not to have a clue. “Yorktest has informed use they cannot directly identify you from the data collected.” And "We are satisfied that YorkTest have updated their cookie consents so they are no longer .. https://twitter.com/JolyonMaugham/status/1194513632505282561
using implied consent and that their cookie policy informs individuals what cookies are used and why."

So lets take a look again eh ...
Today. There's that updated cookie consent process and ooh look a Facebook Pixel that I know is there cos I use a tool to check for such things.

So. Let's a further peek .. cos the @ICOnews ain't doing its job is it.
Defaulted to "Allow all cookies" (remember that Pixel ;)

Look at the third party advertising set track by default on a site that provides services for a persons health and well being.
"We use cookies to personalise content and ads, to provide social media features and to analyse our traffic. We also share information about your use of our site with our social media, advertising and analytics partners who may combine it with other information that you’ve ...
...provided to them or that they’ve collected from your use of their services. You consent to our cookies if you continue to use our website."

I just clicked the cookie policy to learn more and the COOKIE CONSENT tool DISAPPEARED. You getting this @ICOnews ?
So, by clicking the cookie policy I have consented to all this eh?
By clicking the Privacy Policy or the Cookie Policy the default is consent to third party ad tracking.

The privacy policy doesn't refer to advertising or third party advertising. The cookie policy (that also has a Facebook Pixel) refers to a number of cookies for marketing/ads
So the Cookie Policy advises YorkTest uses Linkedin bcookie for tracking the use of embedded services (valid for 2 years). It's a browser ID cookie that LinkedIN says is valid for 1 year.

Hey, y'all know those employers want to know if ya'll healthy or not 🤷‍♂️
The cookie policy advises the lab uses a _fbp cookie "Used by Facebook to deliver a series of advertisement products such as real time bidding from third party advertisers." <Ya'll know you really really want this! Don't ya? It's only your health and wellbeing after all 🤷‍♂️
The cookie policy also advises the lab uses a BizoID cookie "to track visitors on multiple websites, in order to present relevant advertisement based on the visitor’s preferences"

BizoID is http://bizographics.com  that links to https://px.ads.linkedin.com
The cookie policy advises it uses a bscookie "Used by the social networking service LinkedIn for tracking the use of embedded services." Cos again, Ya'll know ya want employers and prospective employers to track the shit out of you (in this case literally)
The Cookie Policy advises the use of _hjIncludedInSample cookie to determine if "the user’s navigation should be registered in a certain statistical place holder." Yeah, I know, ya'll are thinking wow Pat, that's really clear and simple I know what that means when I 'accept all'
Recap. Remember, by visiting the cookie policy, ALL that advertising related tracking just for the cookies set by the lab, means I consented. I know, I know, ya'll are thinking WTAF.
and oh, a Trustpilot widget too. Trust?
But that ain't all. The testing laboratory also states that "some cookies are placed third party services that appear on our pages" < oooh, like magic fair dust. It just got there right? But cookies ain't all. 8 third party cookies and 195 requests to 30 unique hosts.
But y'all DON'T WORRY cos the lab says "The only personal information a cookie contains is information that you have personally supplied." And ya' know what, the ICO accepted that .. but ya know what, that's why we have the ePrivacy Directive that applies IRRESPECTIVE of whether
the data is personal 🤷‍♂️
