Today, courageous United Workers Union members from the Coles supply chain stood together to hold the Coles Board of Executives to account at their AGM.

See thread.
Farm workers, food manufacturing workers and warehouse workers raised their concerns of modern slavery conditions on Australian farms, stagnant wage growth, automation and rampant disrespect across all their workplaces.

This is UWU solidarity across the supply chain in action.
Our union also asked Coles:
- To commit to a pre-qualification agreement that ensures
ethical labour sourcing,
- To respect worker’s decisions to form a union
and take ownership of their own lives,
- To stand with workers seeking visa reform.
Well done to all workers who spoke up today. Together we were powerful and made a lot of executives very uncomfortable! Updates to follow.
