Have been interacting with many traders through my workshops and realized that many folks have a limited/lack mindset on 'making' money. This thread is to promulgate the concept that many a times, we are the one standing between a wealthy and our mediocre life

I wanted to talk about 2 books and how they are strikingly similar in the message they deliver(even though they were written 2500 yrs apart)

Left - Kautilya Arthashastra - Chanakya - approx date 300 B.C.

Right - Secrets of the millionaire mind - T Harv Eker, 2005

(2/n)
Both books elaborate upon (in their own different ways) the importance of wealth in a person's life.

A poor but well meaning social worker will not be able to change / help society without deploying wealth.

(3/n)
To be able to take on the might of a wealthy wrong doer, one has to be a mighty (wealthy) person too.

Unfortunately, wealth (and wealthy people) are all too often painted unfairly, uniformly and without investigation as corrupt, immoral and evil.

(4/n)
Both books advocate the ample possibilities of creating wealth by fair, ethical and legal means. What is required is to shrug off the age old dogma of "wealth is another form of satan". This thought is usually the problem behind not accumulating wealth for many of us.

(5/n)
Both books state that those who accuse wealth and the wealthy in a blind, uniform manner are probably unsuccessful ppl with unfulfilled ambitions

If you want to be wealthy, first shrug off the sub-conscious guilt of wanting wealth and displeasing your unsuccessful brethren.

Many folks (especially traders) feel sub-consciously that making money in a short period of time(windfall profits) is actually a crime. Once a trader becomes consistently profitable, this is the next demon they have to address (for 98% of the traders atleast)

(7/n)
More often than not, traders have this lackadaisical approach towards making money and their own internal thoughts on money is the pivotal reason behind it. This is why many traders make good money and lose them all in a short period of time.

(8/n)
They feel that they dont deserve making money and lose 'em all.

As they say, 'Wealth is not about having lot of money but it is about having a lot of options'.

If you have not read these books already, i would highly recommend it.

Have a great week ahead !!
