As they arrived in Cochabamba today, supporters of Morales and his Movement to Socialism (MAS) party were met with heavy repression by pro-coup Bolivian police, who fired on them with tear gas and apparently live rounds as well
With police vastly outnumbered, leaders of the coup against Evo Morales deployed a MASSIVE contingent of the Bolivian military to Cochabamba.

Resistance is fiercest en the working class suburb of La Paz called El Alto. A huge crowd of MAS members and supporters gathered at the Villa Adela Bridge today with a message for the ringleaders of the coup against Evo Morales:
"Mesa, Camacho, we want your head!"

Proudly waving the indigenous flag known as the Wiphala, thousands chanted:
"Evo, brother, come back to Bolivia!"

Armed MAS supporters took over the highway leading north out of La Paz in a town called Alto Beni
