Supporters of Evo Morales continued to descend on Cochabamba by the thousand today to demand his return to office.

They plan to shut down major cities until Bolivia& #39;s democratically elected president is restored.
As they arrived in Cochabamba today, supporters of Morales and his Movement to Socialism (MAS) party were met with heavy repression by pro-coup Bolivian police, who fired on them with tear gas and apparently live rounds as well
With police vastly outnumbered, leaders of the coup against Evo Morales deployed a MASSIVE contingent of the Bolivian military to Cochabamba.

They& #39;re desperate to prevent Cochabamba from falling back into indigenous hands.
Resistance is fiercest en the working class suburb of La Paz called El Alto. A huge crowd of MAS members and supporters gathered at the Villa Adela Bridge today with a message for the ringleaders of the coup against Evo Morales:

"Mesa, Camacho, we want your head!"
Proudly waving the indigenous flag known as the Wiphala, thousands chanted:

"Evo, brother, come back to Bolivia!"
Armed MAS supporters took over the highway leading north out of La Paz in a town called Alto Beni

"The sleeping lion has woken up! Long live our Wiphala [indigenous flag], damn it!" says the first man

They chant: "El Alto isn& #39;t alone, damn it!"
In La Paz, Morales supporters held large swaths of the city. Things were calm at the Plaza San Francisco this morning--until the military began & #39;buzzing& #39; the crowd with fighter jets.

"We need independent media to get this! All the media in Bolivia belongs to the oligarchy"
